In 2003 at 19 years old, Sandy Pell was tasked to complete a five piece art project in her highschool art class.
The catch? Each piece had to evolve in some way from the last. This piece, known as Piece 5, was the final work of the series, which incorporated a 3D raised surface to showcase depth.
